Welcome to Shimizu Port
Shimizu port is one of Japan’s three most beautiful ports. Shizuoka City is located at the best view point of Mt. Fuji as a symbol of Japan. The beauty of Mt. Fuji’s magnificent scenery in winter surpasses description.
01.Although Shimizu Port is the closest cruise port to Mt. Fuji, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see Mt. Fuji if you join a tour. We hope that you will be able to see Mt. Fuji when you come to Shimizu.
02.If you want to enjoy sightseeing around Shimizu Port, we recommend booking a taxi. As there are few drivers who can speak English, many of them will use an interpreter app to take you to your destination.
03. Large passenger ships call at the port, and customers looking for half-day or full-day sightseeing tend to concentrate in the morning. If you make a tour reservation in advance, you can depart for your destination without waiting. Shizuoka TaaS Travel Homepage (https://travel.shizuoka-taas.com)

Yes, feel free to contact us where you wish to be picked up/dropped off, and we can arrange it for you. Ex: Shizuoka Station, Shimizu Station, etc.
Shizuoka TaaS tours can be purchased online or directly at Shimizu Port. Tickets are available online at the Shizuoka TaaS travel website (https://travel.shizuoka-taas.com) or VIATOR (https://www.viator.com/). You can make a reservation by credit card payment.
Sales at Shimizu Port will be conducted on the days when large tourist ships arrive at Shimizu Port, with a charter taxi reception desk set up to sell day tours using charter taxis (charter hourly fare) for that day. Note that as it is not possible to arrange for a guide-interpreter or English-speaking guide for tours arranged on the day, taxi drivers will use an interpretation app to communicate.
For one-day tours booked in advance online, you will be accompanied by a nationally qualified guide-interpreter or a guide fluent in English.
Tours sold online are packaged tours, and since there is a possibility that other participants than you may be on board, the itinerary of the tour cannot be changed at your request.
We will confirm your desired course by email, create a tour as a travel arrangement contract, and propose the travel price.
Mt. Fuji can be seen for sure only on about one third of the days in a year, and even on sunny days there are many days when it cannot be seen due to clouds. We will organize tours in the direction of Mt. Fuji upon customer’s request, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will be able to see it, and we will not provide refunds if you are unable to see it.
Extending the tour time is possible. Additional fee will be charged by 30 minutes.
Please feel free to contact us with your ideal sightseeing spots. We will work with you to create your very own tour route!
Yes. There are regular taxis where you decide your destination when you board and the fare changes according to the distance traveled.
Some drivers can speak English, but not many. Recently, we have been holding driver training sessions to help you communicate in the language using apps or translation devices. We also offer English guided tours, which require prior registration, if you require an English guide.
If you are leaving Shimizu Port and heading into the city where there is relatively a lot of traffic, we recommend a regular taxi (distance fare), but if you are heading to tourist spots such as Nihon-daira or Miho-no-Matsubara, it is often difficult to arrange a taxi for the return trip, and you may not be able to make it in time for the meeting time. To avoid such risks, we recommend a chartered taxi (time fare).
